My love for working with children led me to take Early Childhood Education atHumberCollege. After graduating I worked as a teacher and assistant supervisor in a Brampton Day Care. A few years later, I chose to be a stay at home mom when my daughter was born. This continued when my son was born a year and a half later. My husband and I then started and grew a financial services business until about 7 years ago. At that time I stepped back from the business to begin working with Peel Children’s Aid as a foster mom for infants.
My interest in learning Sign Language has led me to complete courses at the Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf. I have recently completed the American Sign Language and Deaf Studies program at George Brown Collage.
Becoming a My Smart Hands instructor combines my love for children with my passion for learning and sharing the beautiful language of ASL with others. I’m looking forward to sharing signing with many families in the Brampton and Caledon area.
